Implementing Pharmacogenomics and Personalized Medicine Into Practice
The presentation is intended to serve as a review of basic pharmacogenomic principles. The program will explore early implementation experience from one of the nation's first community pharmacy-directed pharmacogenomic clinics. Real-world case examples will be examined. Initial workflow barriers will also be discussed.
Objectives:
- Review the basic principles of pharmacogenomics and how they can be used to optimize drug therapy.
- Discuss strategies for implementation of pharmacogenomic services into community pharmacy practice.
